Maybe you feel some of your facial features are not prominent enough and have thought that if there were some type of procedure to enhance them-particularly your cheeks or chin, you would be more satisfied with your appearance. Doctors and technology are contributing to performing breakthrough procedures every day, so it has become easier to acquire those coveted high cheekbones or that handsome chin-line to pull all your facial features together perfectly.
Chin and cheek implants define and strengthen the look of your faces natural bone structure. Implants have also been used to give a tighter, firmer, younger appearance to older patients that suffer from sagging facial tissue. Implants are made of non-toxic materials like silicon or polyethylene. The implants come in a variety of sizes and can be customized to fit your face perfectly. Cheek and chin implants are most often done to enhance or compliment another procedure such as rhinoplasty, face lift, neck lift, and chin augmentation. Since chins are at the bottom of your face and responsible for pulling all your features together, Dr. Saadat may suggest one of these procedures to give your face appropriate proportion and symmetry.

If you want to correct a flat looking face or accentuate the natural curves of your face, then cheek or chin implants may be appropriate. As with any facial plastic surgery, expecting a reasonable outcome is necessary, as well as being in overall good health. It should be said that chin and cheek implants are often used in addition to other facial procedure to give your face a more balanced look. During your consultation Dr. Saadat will make recommendation based your specific needs.
Getting the implants is a relatively simple procedure and can be performed using either general anesthesia or local anesthesia. Which anesthesia depends on what the patient prefers and what Dr. Saadat believes is best for your specific case.
Most implants are mainly designed and used to add a natural prominence to your natural features. Depending on the implant size and your preferences, the outcome could be subtle or drastic
Sutures will dissolve or be removed within five to ten days. Patients can usually return to work within two days; however, the implants may cause tightness that makes it hard to move your mouth, and can be expected to last for a couple days. It's normal for the implant to "settle in" during the months after surgery, and you may notice some slight change.
